No Hunt last week, as I was sick with the worst cold in the world ever (until the next one). But I’m back and it’s time for the 9th Montreal Scavenger Hunt.
The rules: Identify the location in the photo below and tell me via a comment or post a similar picture of the same location on your blog with a trackback. I’ve also hidden a book at the location (it’s in the flowerbed across the street), so if you find it remember to register the capture at bookcrossing.com. It’s an Anne McCaffrey book, a good one from before she went too far.
I also have a message to Montreal drivers to accompany this particular photo: Those yellow stripy things you see painted across streets around the city are not just decorative. If you see a pedestrian waiting to cross or already crossing at one please don’t just ignore them and drive by. Please don’t pretend to accelerate deliberately. Just stop and let the person cross, it will cost less than a minute of your precious time. Thank you.
So, where is this?

I thought I recognized that intersection! I won’t give it away, but I got a book. I can’t say if I got the book, since it isn’t by Anne McCafferey, it is by Larry Niven. So maybe someone beat me there? The mystery….
Cara
I blame the sickness. I was going to release an Anne McCaffrey, but at the last moment I changed my mind and went for Larry Niven. Well hey, it’s a better story anyway, congrats on finding it!
So where is it? Plateau somewhere? I can’t think of yellow crosswalks anywhere else.
It’s Peel, right? Next to the Windsor? Picture taken from Dorchester sq?
Yes, it’s the crossing on Peel, the one that I nearly get run over on almost every night. Well done Cara for getting there first and well done Paul for identifying the location.
