Why?
From the McGill events calendar, happening today:
Analysis of the polymorphic transitions in cocoa butter.
Sounds to me like an excuse for some students to smear goo on each other.
I’m gonna say this once and once only. Stay out of Camberwick Green!

My wonderful wife gave me a hand blender as one of my xmas gifts which prompted me to explore the world of smoothies. No longer do I need to drag the big blender out of its hiding place and deal with its eccentricities. The hand blender is a perfect tool.
My first smoothies have involved chunking up a banana and throwing it into a large yoghurt pot along with some frozen berries, then adding some orange juice and/or milk and/or yoghurt then finishing it off with an extra bit of sweetness with some honey or maple syrup. Whizz it all up with the whizzy hand blender and I have the perfect breakfast drink; tasty, filling and healthy.
I plan to experiment with other smoothie ingredients such as different fruits, coconut milk, chocolate, egg nog, and alcohol.
Happy new year everyone, time to take a look back at 2005.
