Too many gimmicks

I don’t care what superhero I am, or what drink I am, or what star wars/lord of the rings/harry potter/etc. character I am.
I don’t need a quiz to tell me if I’m smart, or alcoholic, or sexy or canadian.
I have a clock on my computer, I don’t need one on my blog.
I don’t need cute badges, stickers, buttons or banners to express my opinions.
I don’t need to beg for money using paypal (and I wouldn’t even if I did).
People can add me to their blog lists without a narcissisitic ‘blogroll me!!!’ link.
If you want to know 100 things about me, read my posts.
I know how many hits I’m getting, but I don’t need to tell the world.

Did I miss any?

  1. I couldn’t agree more, although I do have my stats viewable if you click an image on the sidebar, but that’s just because that’s required for the service I use (sitemeter) to work.

Nice layout, BTW. I use WordPress too, it’s great software. This is probably the most customized I’ve ever seen the standard template (most people get a different template online and then edit it), nice job.

  2. Thanks, I didn’t want to be yet another Kubrick clone, and I like to tinker with CSS etc. I suck at graphical design though, hence the lack of graphics here. I like the gradients you’ve used.

  3. Hello, Michele also sent me. Yes, I do as she says. I love this list and felt pride in the fact that I have not commited many of these. Well, except the blogroll me link. So, please forgive me, I have been vain. Well, hell ya – have you seen my site? The bold font on top says ME!!
